DOCK GUIDE LIGHTS |

|
|
Loading
Dock Stop & Go Light is a safety signaling
device that can help alert truck drivers and loading
dock personnel to the safety status of docked or
docking trucks |
|
The
Loading Dock Guide Light provides added safety at
industrial docks by improving a driver's depth perception
when backing into an open dock mouth. When installed
below the dock bumpers (and wider than the mirrors of
a
typical cab's mirrors) the Dock Guide Light focuses
light
directly onto the face of the dock and dock bumpers.
It
provides an ideal focal point for drivers and greatly
reduces the risk of "overrunning" a dock.
Dock Guide
Lights can vastly reduce damage and injuries due to
trucks backing in too far or too quickly. |
|
|
As
a truck is being directed to an individual loading dock,
the Stop & Go Light is switched to flash green.
The truck
is cleared to back into the dock. When the trailer reaches
the dock and is safely locked in place, a signal can
be sent
to the Stop & Go Light to change the flashing green
light
outside to flashing red. This tells the driver he is
safely
docked and is not cleared to move his trailer. |
|
|
|
|
The
Dock guide Light includes adjustable reflectors.
When installed, these reflectors produce a focused light
pattern that illuminates the dock surface exactly where
needed, providing a sharp visual cutoff that assists
a
driver in lining up a trailer squarely with a dock.
(See
illustration below) |
|
|
As
an additional safety feature, a second Stop & Go
Light
can be wired inside the loading area. When the outside
light flashes red to let drivers know they are safely
docked, the inside light flashes green to indicate that
it
is safe to begin loading or unloading. The Stop &
Go
Light can be controlled independently or with the Control
Console (see below). |

A simple, reliable and cost-effective warning system
that reduces the risk of accidents

Safety yellow polypropylene housing will not rust, pit,
dent or corrode like similar metal
units. |
|
The
Dock Guide Light is constructed of high impact
polycarbonate with ribbed reinforcing. In addition,
it is
less deep than dock bumpers, reducing the danger of
it
being struck and damaged by a truck. |
|
|
Shallow depth of unit (less than most dock bumpers)
reduces risk of damage to Stop &
Go Light |

The
Dock Guide Light operated on 12 volts AC/DC
and can be controlled with the Control Console
(see below) or any other independent source of
low
voltage via transformer, etc. Standard automotive
replacement bulbs are long-lasting, inexpensive and
easy to replace. |

DOCKMASTER®
DOCK LIGHTING CONTROL CONSOLE
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
 |
|
|
|
|
The
DockMaster Dock Lighting Control Console is
designed to control lighting devices for two adjacent
loading docks from a centralized location inside the
dock.
One control console can be wired to control two Dock
Loading Lights, two or four Stop & Go Lights and
two
pairs of Guide Lights. |
|
3-position
switch on each side flashes the Stop & Go
Lights for each respective dock. The innermost switches
control the Guide Lights and may be programmed to stay
on or to turn off after a preset time. They are
independently programmable from 5 to 30 minutes. |
|
|
|
Selecting
this self-timer option conserves energy usage
and prolongs bulb life. At full load, the Control Console
is rated to draw no more than 750 watts to service two
docks. Two Control Consoles servicing four docks can
be powered by a single 15 amp circuit. |
|
|
A
master switch controls power to all dock lighting
equipment and a circuit breaker protects each console
against overload. |
|
|
|
The
Control Console provides equal control for a left and
right array of lighting equipment. The outermost
3-position switch on each side flashes the Stop &
Go
Lights for each respective dock. The innermost switches
control the Guide Lights, and may be programmed to
stay on, or the turn off after a preset time. They are
independently programmable from 5 to 30 minutes. |
